Growing up on an "alternative religious commune" outside of Bowling Green Kentucky started by ex-hippies, where many kinds of music are forbidden, will do weird things to your music tastes. Whatever it did, it fucking worked for Cage The Elephant. After escaping and moving to the UK, Cage The Elephant has formed quite a following. The British influence on their music is obvious. Their self-titled debut came out today for the first time in the US. This album has veteran sound, not at all like a debut. It will be great to watch this band grow and change as their musical horizons grow. Enough rambling. Let there be rock. Check them out here.
